The 'Music School' of the Turi Band resumes its activities in the wake of Don Giovanni Cipriani.

Programme Agreement for Music Education.

On 14 March 2023, at the Town Hall, the proponents of the ‘Maria SS. Ausiliatrice’ Association and the other partners in the ‘rebirth’ – the Municipality of Turi and the company ‘Willy Green Technology srl’ of Castellaneta Marina – signed a five-year cooperation agreement to put music education back into circulation and with it the memory of music teachers who are no longer with us and moments of healthy youth aggregation, taking over the precious heritage of 25 municipal musical instruments purchased some time ago thanks to funding from the regional ‘Bollenti spiriti-Bandapart’ project, which had been unused for a long time.

Mayor Tina Resta emphasised the importance of signing this memorandum of understanding.. Crises are useful because they make one come back stronger than before if one has the courage to overcome them. President Vincenzo Perfido, director Valerio Savino, and the two extraordinary entrepreneurs believed in it and moved in Don Giovanni’s footsteps.

The thanks to all those involved in the initiative by the Association’s president Vincenzo Perfido were followed by the speech of the sole director of ‘Willy Green Technology’ of Castellaneta Marina, Turese Giovanna Giannandrea: «Our company is betting a lot on the future of young people and on the propulsive drive that the new generations are able to bring. Our company has the word green in its name and in its actions, both in terms of industrial activity – industrial plant engineering, solar energy, photovoltaics, etc. – and in terms of interpreting, together with young people, a new way of life. – and to interpret, together with young people, a path towards building a society on a more human scale.”

Finally, Emanuele Ventura, Head of Corporate Policies, spoke: «We focus a lot on young people and on the future, so where we see the seriousness and concreteness of the project we intervene beyond the necessary expenditure. We said yes to the Band’s invitation for one simple reason: it is part of a broader social project of growth because the real lifeblood of our countries are the young people and we must focus on them for confidence in the future. Young people need our help. This educational activity is fundamental and we are happy to sponsor it. . We will also support another initiative in June, and I officially announce that the scholarship for deserving youngsters set up by ‘Willy Green Technology’ next August will involve the young people of Turi.»
